What is Software Engineering?
“.. An engineering discipline that is concerned with all aspects of software production from the early stages of system specification to maintaining the system after it has gone into use.” Sommerville, pg.7 It is concerned with the practicalities of developing and delivering useful software.

Course Outcomes By the end of this course you will be able to: Create a full project plan: set goals, create action plans and schedule the project tasks, meet project milestone and complete the assigned phases. Prepare the software requirements specification document for a software project. Analyze user needs and produce the appropriate analysis diagrams. Design and develop the system models. Describe the different software process models, system specifications, and the different approaches to system analysis and design.
