Type of products that I consume from each industry… On my day to day life, I consume a lot of media and this is all accessed on various technology devices. For example, most of my communication is done on my mobile phone, as a lot more of information is accessible through my phone. I consume mobile phone information, though my phone device. When I listen to music on my phone, I am using the audio side of media and music is becoming a bigger part of the media and of course, music industry. My laptop is a device I consume and watch movies and YouTube videos on . I also do a lot of wok on my laptop, so essentially, it is a very important technological device in my life. Also, more is accessible in one thing, like a phone can be used to film videos, take photographs, communicate etc. This is called conversions.

What technology do I use and what can you access through it? Most people have a mobile phone, or a smartphone. They are used in our everyday lives, and so is media. Most things are accessible through our phones/laptops, as media and online stores become bigger and bigger. I use, on a daily basis, my phone (mobile) my laptop, or a computer, I watch TV and sometimes use my camera. My phone is a portable world of online and social media in a small box, and I can access almost everything I need on my phone and online. For example, on my phone I can take photographs, send messages, watch videos on the internet and YouTube, I can access a wide range of social media which is becoming bigger and bigger, as it blows up around the world and more people become connected. Google is accessible on my phone and laptop. It is an online search engine that can be used to search for millions of things, helpful to billions of people. My laptop can essentially do the same as my phone, accept it has additional features my phone doesn’t have. For example, word documents and power points to write out work and documents, this is something that cant be done or is very had on a smartphone. My camera, simply takes photographs, but I can edit on my camera, so editing is accessible on my camera. All aspects of technology and media, are becoming a bigger part o the modern world, and almost everyone relies on it. My phone and laptop, etc. allow me to access a wide range of things and it helps me with things such as school/college work and it is entertaining too, which is why it is so favourable.

How and where can I access the same information? All news stories or gossip is presented in the same way, but on different types of technology and ways. For example, a news headline can be broadcast by audio on the radio, and it will be presented on Television, it will be written in the local news paper and it will be on social media, making headlines. This creates a much easier and accessible way for different people with different technology to all interpret and gather the same information. For example, someone may get the news on their phone but someone else may not have a phone, and will therefor hear it on the radio station. More stories are more accessible in different ways and this is good because it can suit the needs of more people around the globe.

Can digital technology ease the process of information access? I would definitely think so. I believe that a huge amount of work has been done and there have been brilliant achievements in media and technology. This is because the internet and media are becoming ever so big and are in fact, consuming us, as we almost completely rely on technology these days. For example, communication is a big part of technology and its development. Developers are always trying to expand and improve ways of communication. People need to use laptops, phones and computers to access the internet and communicate, so essentially, it does consume our lives. But this all shows how it is easier to access the internet and how much progress me have made in terms of technology and media. It has definitely eased the process of information access.
