Sport for Social Change International Week November, 2009 – São Paulo, Brasil

3 Sport for Social Change In 2007 Nike supported the creation of a global movement: the Sport for Social Change Network – SSCN, that in Brazil is named REMS – Rede Esporte pela Mudança Social. The movement gathers 30 non-profit organizations in Brazil, leaded by UNDP – United Nations Development Program. Those NGOs are from all over the country, although mostly from Rio and São Paulo. All of them believe in the power of sports to change lives. Most of them run sport for change programs. All of them work direcltly with excluded youth and youth related themes.
