Open Enrollment FY2018 May 3 – May 19

What’s the Same… Everyone Must Elect Benefits You must actively make elections in the MyHub open enrollment event by May 19th or you will not have coverage in FY18 Available options for all Plans largely remain the same We have notable changes, which will we review on the next slide, but most of our programs remain unchanged. This open enrollment is an Active enrollment, the same as last open enrollment – meaning, you must actively elect your benefits to have coverage in FY18. This applies even if you have enrolled previously.

What’s Changing… Premium Rates and Pay Period Changes Wellbeing Premium Incentive (WPI) Tobacco Surcharge Supplemental Life Insurance Guarantee Issue Medical rates have increase, but dental and vision rates are flat. Premium deductions will be taken from 26 pays instead of 24 to ease administrative processes. Cincinnati Children’s will offer a Wellbeing Premium Incentive (WPI) to those that enroll in medical – complete a Wellbeing Assessment and receive a $10 credit towards your premium. Tobacco surcharge will apply to those employees that voluntarily attest to being a tobacco user. We no longer have “guarantee issue” on the voluntary life and AD&D insurance through Unum. You must complete an “Evidence of Insurability” form to increase coverage. We will get into more detail on each of these items.

FY18 Changes Premium Rates for Medical have Increased for FY18 Rates available on the Open Enrollment site Premium deductions will be taken from 26 pays Total Annual Premium(s) will be spread out evenly into 26 payments, for example: Rates: Medical cost have been rising and continues to rise…..Our covered population is no different – we have experienced an increase in costs greater that the national average, which is about 6%. As medical costs increase, we, as employees, will all pay more individually than we did last year. But Cincinnati Children’s is paying a higher percentage of overall premium costs to minimize the impact on you.   Premium deductions - For FY18, deductions will be taken from 26 pays instead of 24 to ease administrative processes. To be perfectly transparent in the increase here is an example of what premiums will look like between 24 pays and 26 pays Additional notes: average increase for employees is 6%, average cost for Children’s Hospital is 10% (only state if asked) FY17 24 Deductions FY18 26 Deductions HSA Advantage Single $58.18 $71.34 $65.85

FY18 Changes Wellbeing Premium Incentive (WPI) You can earn a reduction on your premium costs by completing your online Wellbeing Assessment, (questionnaire), through MyHealthPath May 1, 2017 - June 18, 2017 All Assessments will be reset just prior to May 1 By completing you will earn a $10 per pay period deduction starting with the July 14 pay FY17 24 Deductions FY18 26 Deductions Wellbeing Premium Incentive 26 Deductions with WPI HSA Advantage Single $58.18 $71.34 $65.85 - $10 = $55.85 While Rates have increased there is an opportunity for you to reduce them by taking action. You do have to opportunity to help offset the rise in premium costs by completing your online Wellbeing Assessment through MyHealthPath. The online Wellbeing Assessment must be completed between May 1, 2017 and June 18, 2017 in order to receive the WPI for FY18 – even if you have already completed the Wellbeing Assessment. (This assessment is a questionnaire only, health screening is not required.) The WPI will be applied to the July 14, 2017 paycheck. We are encouraging all employees to complete their assessment during this time even if you are not currently enrolled in the medical plan.

FY18 Changes Tobacco Surcharge Attest as Tobacco User during Medical Plan Enrollment This applies to employee only $20 additional charge per pay period Surcharge stopped upon completion of the Breathe Easy Coaching Program through MyHealthPath Tobacco Surcharge: Cincinnati Children’s is committed to fostering a safe and healthy environment in which employees are focused on taking care of themselves, each other, and the patients and families we serve. Tobacco use does not support that commitment. Effective July 1, 2017, Children’s will be applying a $20 per pay check Tobacco Surcharge to any employee who attests to being a tobacco user. Children’s will remove the surcharge upon completion of the Breathe Easy Tobacco Cessation Coaching program through MyHealthPath. Cincinnati Children’s defines “regular tobacco user” as one who uses tobacco products, such as cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, dipping, pipe tobacco, or e-cigarettes, four or more days a week.
