LESSON PLAN ENGLISH YEAR 2 UNIT 16

By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to plan, organize and produce creative works for enjoyment. Learning Standards Able to sing action songs and recite jazz chants with correct pronunciation, rhythm and intonation. Able to take part with guidance in a performance based on action songs Lesson Objectives By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: produce simple creative works with guidance perform singing in group Added value: pupils able to use PowerPoint as the beginning exposure to ICT. Cross Curricular Element TMK, Performing Art Moral Values Responsibility, cooperation Teaching Aids Newspapers, camcorder, laptop, CD audio (Twinkle, Twinkle Little star)

Activities Teacher distributes pieces of newspapers to pupils. Teacher asks pupils to make a star from the newspaper and decorate it. Teacher play a 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' song with voice. (PowerPoint) Pupils sing along the song. Teacher explain that pupils will sing the 'Let's Reuse' song using the 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' rhythm. Teacher reads the lyric and guides pupils to follow. Teacher explains the meaning of the lyric. Teacher guides the pupils to sing the song. Pupils sing along the 'Let's Reuse' song together. Groupwork: Pupils work in group. Discuss their own creative movements and practice in group. Pupils present to the class and one of the group member record the presentation. Teacher guide pupils to upload the video that their searched from web to the PowerPoint presentation. Assessment / Remedial / Enrichment Observe pupils whether they can plan their movement and perform in group. Reflection
