ETID OFFERS Small Department Strong Industry Relationships One-on-one relationship with your instructors Undergraduate & Graduate Specifically geared for careers in industry Strong Industry Relationships Industry speakers Industry-sponsored projects Extensive Intern opportunities Direct contact with industry through the available student organizations So in a big school of roughly 44,000 students, one thing that is nice is it’s a smaller department, this with a smaller student to faculty ration, one on one relationships with your professors and a first name basis. Another strength of our department is our distinguished faculty, our program and faculty also have close ties with industry, which sponsor many of our labs, research project, senior design projects and much more.

Programs ETAC-ABET accredited Electronic Systems Engineering Technology (ESET) B.S. Electronic Systems Engineering Technology Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology (MMET) B.S. Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology Mechatronics (MXET) B.S. Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology Industrial Distribution (IDIS) B.S. Industrial Distribution [Oldest & largest ID Program in the Nation] Master of Industrial Distribution (MID) Master of Engineering in Technical Management (METM) ESET - Basic electronics fundamentals + prototyping, quality, entrepreneurship, leadership [Taking product to market] IDIS - Mech/ Electrical + Sales, operations, profitability, analytics MMET - Mechanical fundamentals + Manufacturing processes, design, process flow, automation, production planning MXET - Intelligent electro-mechanical systems/ mobile robotics

Electronic Systems Engineering Technology (ESET) Program Overview One of the best ET Programs in the U.S 270+ Enrolled Students: small classes, one to one interaction with instructors Focus areas: Embedded systems, electronic hardware, communication, testing Hands-on learning Student involvement in industry projects Entrepreneurial experience: two-semester capstone projects ran by student startup companies Practical skills: project management, quality control, product development process, and leadership 100% Job Placement Companies hired ESET students: Microsoft, Google, Amazon, NI, TI, Cisco, NOV, Oceaneering, Oncor, GM, Continental, … Average starting salary: $72,000 Scholarships: 19 scholarships awarded in 2015-2016.

What is Industrial Distribution? The Industrial Distribution program is a hybrid of engineering and business while also developing leadership and communication skills. Are you a leader? Are you business savvy? Are you interested in engineering? Are you a good communicator? Are you Entrepreneurial?

Industrial Distribution Program Overview Largest & Highly Recognized ID Program in the U.S – 60 Years of Excellence in Education! 900+ Enrolled Students Near 100% Job Placement upon Graduation Interdisciplinary Degree in Business & Engineering 2016 - Average Salary $56,317 Scholarships: Industrial Distribution students received 187 scholarships in 2015-2016. Average amount of scholarship is approximately $1,500

MMET Graduates are applications-oriented and valued by industry Curriculum is based on rigorous theory, industrial applications, and laboratory experiences Focus on experiential learning and opportunities to apply theory in industry-grade laboratories Close integration with industrial partners MMET is for doers, people who like to get things done. MMET graduates are people who turn designs into products, who find better ways to make cell phones, cars, airplanes, automate an industrial process, or improve the design of products. We are not trying to make you a machinist or a welder. We want you to have this experience so that you can design better products and processes.
