KCAD RAS Campaign Grane 2009 Well G-18 & G-19 Installation of 4 ½” screen in underbalance

Scope / History Well 25/11-G-18 was drilled nov 2002. The well has 7” Bakerweld 140 Screens and swell packers. The well is producing gas from the “heal” and this prevent producing oil from the “toe”. It is important to achieve controlled inflow profile in G-18 and G-19 to be able to produce the oil from the “toe”. This will be done by installing approximately 2100 m 4,5” ICD inner screens with RCP valves in the horizontal section, WHP appx 110Bar The objective is to perform the operations without killing the well. To achieve this, a RAS (Rig Assist Snubbing) system will be utilised. The Snubbing pipe is 3,5” OD tbg and will be jacked down from drill floor by using RAS. Stripper rubber/Stripper Rams will be installed between drill floor and cathedral deck. Stripper rubber/Stripper rams will hold the pressure from below while stripping through Well will be on production / flowing 50m3 oil / gas during operation

Summary of planned operations G-18 Spot the snubbing equipment on pipe deck and cathedral deck. Rig-up and function test the snubbing equipment SIH using RAS and 3 ½” TBG and drift/clean well to TD (4634 m MD) with 5,80” drift SIH and install Baker TTRBP 3 3/8” inflatable bridge plug at 2160 m MD. Wash tubing above plug and displace to 1,03 sg inhibited sea water SIH with approx 2100 m 4 ½” screens with RCP valves and pulling tool for the TTRBP in the end. Pull the TTRBP free and continue SIH with screens to TD. Set the liner hanger packer. Pull out of hole with the 3 ½” TBG. Nipple down the snubbing BOP and riser.

Summary of planned operations G-19 Skid the rig to G-19 Rig-up and function test the snubbing equipment SIH using RAS and 3 ½” Tbg and mill cement from 3053m MD to TD (4634 m MD) SIH and install Baker TTRBP 3 3/8” inflatable bridge plug at 2080 m MD. Wash the tubing above plug and displace to 1,03 sg inhibited sea water SIH with approx 2000 m 4 ½” screens with RCP/ICD valves and pulling tool for the TTRBP in the end. Pull the TTRBP free and continue SIH with screens to TD. Set the liner hanger packer. Pull out of hole with the 3 ½” Tbg. Nipple down the snubbing BOP’s and riser. Demob
