A Peek at Next Week in… SS/Science Mrs. Brooks’s Homeroom August 19 SS/Science Science: Continuing our work on the scientific method. Next week we will learn about atoms! Social Studies: Continuing to work on completing our “toolbox”. Next week we will finish talking about the 5 themes of Geography, and start talking about landforms Reading Story: Mother Fletcher’s Gift Genre: Realistic Fiction (tells a story of ordinary characters in everyday situations. Skil: Character and Theme Characters are the people who take part in the events of the story. Theme is the main idea or central meaning of a story. Spelling: Short Vowels Vocabulary: apparently, fixtures, flimsy, incident, subscribe, and survive Tests on Friday Specials M-Library Th-Library Tu- Music F-Art W- PE Math We will continue learning about multiples and factors, as well as developing our multiplication and division of fraction skills.
