Making Technology Standards Work for You NETS-A Standard II

Standard II: Learning and Teaching Educational leaders ensure that curricular design, instructional strategies, and learning environments integrate appropriate technologies to maximize learning and teaching.

Standard II.A. Identify, use, evaluate, and promote appropriate technologies to enhance and support instruction and standards-based curriculum leading to high levels of student achievement.

II.A. Identify, Use, Evaluate Leadership Skills Technology Skills Implementation Ideas knowledge of curriculum and standards knowledge effective instructional practices awareness of educational software awareness hardware available in school strong interpersonal/communication skills modeling appropriate technology use (email, ppt, word) Using appropriate software/hardware Knowledge of educational software Being able to evaluate ed software and websites Use of technology for research Evaluate (with tech committee) curriculum-based software for use Provide opportunities for site-based staff to align software with curriculum standards Providing quality, ed software for school Seek new software/technologies to enhance academic areas
