What’s our continent like? Arctic Ocean Atlantic Ocean Asia Black Sea Mediterranean Sea Europe is the second smallest continent in the world. It’s in the Northern Hemisphere.

What’s Europe’s relief like?

What mountain ranges are there? The Ural Mountains are in Russia. They form a natural border between Europe and Asia. They’re Europe’s longest mountain range. The Alps are Europe’s highest mountain range. They’re in seven different European countries. The Scandinavian Mountains are on a peninsula in the north of Europe. They’re one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world.

What rivers are there? The Volga is in Russia. It’s Europe’s longest river. It’s about 3 700 km long. The Danube is the second longest river in Europe. It flows through ten European countries. The Rhine starts in the Alps, and it flows into the North Sea. It flows through six countries

What countries are there in Europe?

What do we know about these countries? Austria is in the centre of Europe. It doesn’t have a coast, but it has many mountains, forests and lakes. Italy is a peninsula in the south of Europe. It also has two islands, Sardinia and Sicily. Finland is in the north of Europe. It’s between Sweden and Russia. Portugal is in the south of Europe. It’s part of the Iberian Peninsula.
