Plant Classification

All plants are members of what kingdom? Plant Kingdom!

Plants do not eat other living things to survive Plants do not eat other living things to survive. What do they make instead? Their own food!

What is the difference between the two main groups of plants: vascular and nonvascular? Vascular has tubes and nonvascular does not!

This is a type of vascular plant whose stems form a network. Ferns!

When a tree contains cells that are “woody”, what does that mean? The cells are “very hard”!

Any plant that has these two things is a vascular plant. Flowers and Cones

Moss is an example of what kind of plant? Non-vascular!

Water must soak into the plants and pass slowly from ________ to __________. Cell to cell!

In what kind of places do nonvascular plants live? Damp places

Name the three things that nonvascular plants do not have. Roots, stems, or leaves!
