Water pollution Oceans cover the biggest part of our planet. There are seas, lakes, rivers, streams and even water under ground.

People, animals, plants, everything from a little bug to a big whale depend on water. But water becomes polluted.

Oceans Ships loses oil in the water. Trash from them is put into the oceans. Many sea animals, birds and fish die or get contaminated

Rivers and lakes Rivers and lakes are polluted by garbage. Poisonous chemical wastes are dumped into water. Beaches are dangerous for swimming. Sewage system is a very important problem of every big city.

Underground water It is polluted by gasoline or liquids which seep into the ground. Fertilizers and pesticides used by farmers cause the pollution
