2 Kirov region  When we talk about the environment we usually mean the air, the land, the water, and all the living things around us.  Kirov region is a large industrial area in Privolzhsky Federal district.

3 Kirov Region  Kirov region is situated on the banks of the Vyatka river.  A lot of fish live in the rivers and lakes.

4 Kirov Region  Kirov is surrounded by thick forests full of wild animals and birds, mushrooms and berries.  The nature of our place is very beautiful.

5 Air pollution  The development of industry has had a bad influence on the nature of the whole region.  Factories and plants produce a lot of smoke.  It is very dangerous because polluted air damages health of the people and can cause illnesses and even death.

6 Air and land pollution Air and land pollution  Most of the pollution in big cities and small towns comes from cars and buses.

7 Land pollution Land pollution  People produce a lot of waste and the dumps in Kostino and other places become larger every day.

8 Water, air and land pollution  Maradykovo is a place in our region where chemical weapon is recycled.

9 People and plants  All life on Earth depends on green plants. They provide us with food, fuel, cotton, medicine, perfumes and cosmetics.  How would our nature look without plants? Imagine gardens without flowers, mountains without trees and fields without grass. What a boring sight? Imagine gardens without flowers, mountains without trees and fields without grass. 10 Forests  Our forests are disappearing because they are cut down or burnt. If this trend continues, one day we won't have enough oxygen to breathe, we won't see a beautiful green forest at all.

11 Water  The lakes and rivers are in danger. They are filled with poison.  If nothing is done about it, one day nothing will be able to live there.

12 What are the rules?  The problem has become more and more difficult. Today our nature is in serious danger.  Fortunately, it's not too late to solve this problem.

13 What are the rules?  We can clean the forests, banks of the rivers and lakes.  We can recycle our wastes

14 What are the rules?  Recycling can help save energy and important resources. All you need to do is remember to sort out your rubbish and put your glass, paper and aluminum into different bins.

15 What are the rules?  We can plant trees and create parks for endangered animals.

16 Save the Planet The fish in the sea is dying From the pollution we create We’ve got to stop polluting Before it’s too late Before it’s too late. Our planet is in trouble It gets worse every day We have to help our planet In every possible way.
