Just a Couple Things to Know… We are a NUT FREE ZONE…that means absolutely NO NUTS of any kind may be brought in to the classroom! Please label EVERYTHING your child brings to school! Please send your child with a backpack daily. Please include an extra change of clothes. (If applicable… diapers, pull ups, sippy cups, wipes, etc.) Check your child’s backpack daily for any notes or work and projects your child has done.

Just a Couple Things to Know… This classroom follows the district’s health protocol for illnesses….you will find a copy enclosed. Please do not send your child to school if they have any of the symptoms on that sheet! When calling your child in sick, please email or call me as well as the front attendance office and leave a message. If you are late dropping your child off, you will need to go through the front office and gather a tardy slip before bringing him/her to class. Unless specifically indicated on the child’s IEP, there are NO bottles or pacifiers allowed in the classroom.

Just a Couple Things to Know… Please send your child with Velcro shoes or closed toe shoes. Our playground is made of woodchips and can hurt! You must sign your child in and out. Your child will only be released to anyone on the emergency card you provide to me….no exceptions!!!

Just a Couple Things on Snacks… A snack calendar will be sent home at the beginning of each month as it becomes available to me. (Snack is provided at no expense) If your child requires a special snack, please send it daily in your child’s backpack. If your child would like to bring a sippy cup or water bottle, please place it in their backpack with their name on it.

Riding the Bus??? Please make sure you are on time to drop off and pick up your child at your designated bus stop and time…if you are not there to pick your child up, they will take him/her back to the school. There is NO staff available to watch your child return to campus!! Paras leave after students are released and the teacher has scheduled parent meetings.

Just a Couple Things on Potty Training… If your child is NOT potty trained and is wearing diapers, please send at least 2 diapers and wipes daily in their backpack. If your child is potty training at home, please send them with pull ups with VELCRO ON BOTH SIDES for easy changing. We do not potty train at school, but will encourage practices taught at home. If your child is already potty trained, please remember that it will be easier on them if they have elastic waist bands, snap buttons & NO BELTS please!

A Final Note… Your child is here to learn and experience a comfortable and happy school environment! They will learn structure, manners, academics, learn social skills by interaction & so much more! You will be getting a newsletter at the beginning of each school week covering what we will be discussing and learning each week…please take advantage of this opportunity to learn with your child. My #1 goal is for your child to have a fun learning experience. Please communicate with me if you have questions!
