The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Importance of the Bodily Resurrection If you preach Christ has been raised from the dead, then how can you say there is no resurrection of the dead (15:12)? 6

The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Importance of the Bodily Resurrection Consequences of no resurrection (15:13-15) Not even Christ has been raised. Preaching of the Gospel is in vain. In fact, there is no Gospel! Faith in Christ would be useless. Witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars. They would then be martyred for a lie! 7

The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Importance of the Bodily Resurrection Personal consequences of no resurrection (15:16-19) Believers would be no better off – still in their sins. Former believers would have eternally perished. Christians would be the most pitiable people on earth. 8

The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Resurrection Plan There is a redeemer (15:20-22). Therefore, there are the redeemed (15:23). There is restoration (15:24-28). 9

The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Resurrection Incentives There is an incentive for salvation (15:29). There is an incentive for service (15:30-32). There is an incentive for sanctification (15:33-34). 10

The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Our Resurrection Bodies Two important questions (15:35) A great illustration (15:36-38) Life comes from death principle. There is a difference between the original and final forms. In spite of the difference, there is continuity between the old and the new. 11

The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Our Resurrection Bodies The form of resurrection bodies (15:39-42) The contrasts of resurrection (15:42-44) Perishable / imperishable Dishonor / glory Weakness / power Natural / spiritual The prototype of resurrection (15:45-49) 12

The Whole Story 1 Corinthians 15 Victory Over Death The great transformation in our resurrected bodies (15:50-53) The great triumph in our resurrected bodies (15:54-56) The great thanksgiving in our resurrected bodies (15:57) The great exhortation in our resurrected bodies (15:58) 13

The Whole Story Application Is belief in the resurrection the Gospel you received? Do you know the resurrection proof and power in your life? Do you stand on the fact of the resurrection and hold fast to the Word of God? How does the resurrection affect the way you serve your Lord and Savior? 14
