3. Resurrection Believed Centuries Before Christ… And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, (Job 19:26 NKJV) "Oh, that You would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal me until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes. (Job 14:13-14 NKJV) For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. (Psalms 16:10 NKJV) And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel 12:2 NKJV)

4. The Foundation of Christianity According to the four gospels, Jesus rose from the dead following His crucifixion... In all, the New Testament records ten distinct resurrection appearances of Christ prior to His ascension to heaven. Credible witnesses! It proves that everything Jesus taught was true! Everything hangs on whether or not Jesus was raised from the dead.

5. Paul Says “Yes!” (1 Corinthians 15:1-8) Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. (NKJV)

6. If Christ Is Not Risen… (1 Corinthians 15:12-20) Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up--if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. (NKJV)

7. What The Resurrection Means: Jesus is the Son of God. (Rom. 1:1-4) Jesus is reigning as King at right hand of God. (Acts 2:29-36) A transformation of life. (Romans 6:1-11) We can have a good conscience toward God. (1 Pet. 3:20-22) We have a living hope. (1 Pet. 1:1-3) That the fear of death is gone. (1 Cor. 15:51- 57) Our Work in The Lord is not in vain (1 Cor. 15:58) We will be judged by God. (Acts 17:30-32)

8. What Are We To Do? (1 Corinthians 15:58) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (NKJV)
