2014 Dedication of Somerset West 1819 On Sunday 19 January 2014 the NG church building known as Somerset West 1819 was dedicated for a specially constituted congregation of members who had been drawn from Helderzicht, Somerset West, Strand North, Raithby and Sir Lowry’s Pass congregations.

2014 Chief Apostle in Erica West and Retreat East From 12-16 March 2014 Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider visits Cape Town. On the Thursday evening he holds a divine service for ministers and their wives in Erica West.

2014 Chief Apostle in Erica West and Retreat East On the Friday morning there is a meeting for apostles and bishops at the Dennekraal Conference Centre. The divine service on the Sunday morning 16 March takes place in the Retreat East church.

2014 International Church Convention The first ever International Church Convention (ICC) of the New Apostolic Church takes place in the Olympic Stadium, Munich, Germany from 6-8 June 2014. The District Church of the Cape is invited to display the activities of the Church. A male choir from Cape Town presents a number of concerts in various cities around Germany before and after the ICC. Audiences are enthused by their African brand of music.

2014 International Church Convention The event climaxes on Sunday, 8 June 2014 when Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider conducts the Pentecost divine service in the Olympia Park. This divine service is audio visually transmitted throughout the world.

2015 A blessed encounter A whirlwind visit from Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider from 23-26 January 2015 results in a most blessed encounter for the members in the Eastern Cape. On the Saturday morning there is a trip to the Addo Elephant Park. Upon return from the excursion a meeting with the apostles takes place. Then it is time for the festive choral concert arranged for that afternoon in Palmridge congregation.

2015 A blessed encounter On the Sunday morning 25 January 2015 he holds a divine service in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth. This service commences with the opening hymn, Kuyo intab’ eZioni (On Zion’s mount of radiant light) sang in isiXhosa at the venue. The chief apostle is assisted in his serving by District Apostle Helper Mhango from Malawi and District Apostle Ndandula from Zambia.

2015 Leiden On Sunday 21 June 2015 it is the turn of the members of Leiden Central, Delft Bishop Area, to rejoice when a church building is dedicated for them. Before the commencement of the divine service the District Apostle and those accompanying him unveil a plaque with the text for the divine service engraved on it: And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven”!” (Genesis 28:17).

2015 Leiden The District Apostle mentions that, while the church building is firstly a place to serve God, it can also be used as a multi-purpose venue for youth activities and a safe haven to many in and around the community.

2015 Victoria West in the spotlight On the weekend of 12-14 June 2015 District Apostle Barnes together with the apostles and bishops of the Cape converge on Victoria West. The Sunday morning divine service takes place in the Victoria West Town Hall. The local Bishop, Andrew Hans, is placed into retirement after a ministerial activity of over 40 years. Thereafter a new Bishop, Werner von Schaeffer, is ordained.

2015 Retirement, ordinations, appointment On a visit to the Cape, Chief Apostle Schneider holds a divine service in Tafelsig on Sunday 13 December 2015. During this service a chapter in the history of the New Apostolic Church is closed with the retirement of Apostle De Vries.

2015 Retirement, ordinations, appointment A new chapter is then opened with the ordination of Apostles Lambert and Worship and, in view of the pending retirement of District Apostle Barnes, the appointment of a District Apostle Helper in the person of Apostle J Kriel.
