Q and A 1. What do you remember about making the Documentary Video in Research? 2. How about Display Board? What are the parts and guides? 3. How about the necessary Forms in National Science Fair?

Required Forms and Manuscripts 1. Research Plan A Required Forms and Manuscripts 1. Research Plan A. Questions/Problems being addressed B. Goals/Expected Outcomes/ Hypotheses/Assumptions C. Procedure and data Analysis D. References 2. Forms for All the Projects A. Checklist for Adults Sponsors B. Student Checklist (1A) C. Research Plan D. Approval Form (1B) E. Regulated Research Institutional/ Industrial Setting Form (1C) 3. Forms Depending on the Type of Research (Involving Humans, Vertebrate animals, hazardous Chemicals, etc.) A. Qualified Scientist Form (2) B. Risk Assessment Form (3) C. Human Participants Form (4) D. Human Informed Consent Form E. Vertebrate Animal Form (5A) F. Vertebrate Animal Form (5B) G. Potential Hazardous Biological Agents Risk Assessment Form (6A) H. Human and vertebrate Tissue Form (6B) I. Continuation Project Form (7)

Required Forms and Manuscripts 4 Required Forms and Manuscripts 4. ABSTRACT ( Maximum of 250 words), should include the following: A. Purpose/main Objective of the Experiment B. Procedure C. Data Conclusion 5. Research Paper (Full) 6. Project Evaluation Form 7. Scanned Copy of the Logbook

Required Forms and Manuscripts Parts Research Paper (Full) Times Roman (12 font, Double space) 1. Title Page and Table of Contents 2. Introduction a. Rationale b. The problem and Hypothesis/Assumptions c. Significance of the Study d. Definition of Terms e. Review of Related Literature 3. Materials and Methodology a. Research Design b. Research Locale c. Research Subjects d. Research Instruments and Materials e. Research Procedures 4. Results and Discussion 5. Conclusions and Recommendations 6. Acknowledgment 7. References 8 Appendices a. Project Documentation b. Budget c. Research Logbook (from June-October 2017). Consistent with Workplan

Physical Set-up/Visual Display The physical set-up must be attractive and informative. Interested spectators and judges should easily asses the study and the results obtained. Use clear and concise displays. Make headings stand-out, draw graphs and diagrams clearly and label them correctly. A one-page project abstract must be posted in one corner of the booth. Be sure to adhere to the size limitations and safety rules when preparing the display

Organize your information like a newspaper so that your audience can quickly follow the thread of your experiment by reading from top to bottom, then left to right. Include each step of your science fair project: Abstract, question, hypothesis, variables, background research, and so on. Use a font size of at least 16 points for the text on your display board, so that it is easy to read from a few feet away. It's OK to use slightly smaller fonts for captions on picture and tables. The title should be big and easily read from across the room. Choose one that accurately describes your work, but also grabs peoples' attention. A picture speaks a thousand words! Use photos or draw diagrams to present non-numerical data, to propose models that explain your results, or just to show your experimental setup. But, don't put text on top of photographs or images. It can be very difficult to read.

This sample shows how difficult it can be to read text when you print it on top of an image. Don't do it!

Does your display board include: Title Abstract Question Variables and hypothesis Background research Materials list Experimental procedure Data analysis and discussion including data chart(s) & graph(s) Conclusions (including ideas for future research) Acknowledgements Bibliography
