Aims and outcomes of the TPPP • increase pupils’ enjoyment and engagement in science, numeracy and literacy lessons • increase confidence in learning science and working scientifically • increase knowledge of career opportunities available to pupils who study science and mathematics subjects • increase pupil attainment in Science • increase teacher confidence in teaching space topics

Space Ambassador Role: • Promoting the project with the primary school community • Providing CPD to primary school teachers to help them deliver the activities in their school • Asking for feedback from teachers on the impact of the project on their pupils So what will you actually be doing?

Space Ambassador Role: Explaining the aims of ESERO-UK, provide information on Tim’s mission and the International Space Station Providing physical and electronic resources linking to Tim’s Mission Run a CPD session on the activities Support the delivery of activities linked to Tim’s mission in school Showing teachers how to upload examples of children’s work to the Tim Peake Primary Project community group ( minimum 3 examples per school) Ensuring schools submit their action plan and impact feedback on the project Provide details of Space Education Quality Mark

(15th Aug- 31st March) Impact form - 6months after the project (30th Jan-31st May) How? Why? e.g Performance management, Co-ordinator/school action plans, raising the profile of science/ girls involved in science/raising achievement When Can use paper grid if you wish at the CPD session before filling I online form after CPD so that schools are clear going forward and know what evidence of success they will achieve
