Penn Mental Health AIDS Research Center Core F: Biostatistics and Data Management Core Core Director: Warren B. Bilker, Ph.D. Co-Director: Knashawn H. Morales, Sc.D. Co-Investigator: Frances K. Barg, Ph.D. November 19th, 2014 Johns Hopkins 04.11

What Do We do? Advise and collaborate with PMHARC investigators on study design, data management, and data analysis issues, including qualitative research and modeling approaches Evaluate feasibility of intervention studies and facilitate conduct of precursor pilot studies as needed Develop and maintain a central database of longitudinal assessments on a core set of assessments of biomarkers related to HIV, mental illness, and co-morbidities across all pilot studies. Provide statistical collaboration for research funding applications (e.g. R01, R21, R34) related to the core Aims of the PMHARC. Johns Hopkins 04.11

When are Core F Services Available? Consultations for all statistical, study design, and data management issues with pilot applicants are available from the pilot proposal development stage for all applicants and through the end of the study, and for the manuscript submission process for those studies selected for funding. Funded pilot projects have services available to them that include Biostatistics faculty level collaborations and BAC (Biostatistics Analysis Center) support for data analysis and database management. These services are funded by the PMHARC grant and are at no cost to the pilot projects. PMHARC EAC Meeting 11-19-2014
