Education in Spain

Compulsory Education In Spain compulsory education , comprises primary and secondary education until 16 years old.

Elementary Education - Preschool education, comprising up to 6 years old - Primary education comprises six academic years, from 6 to 12 years old Compulsory & Free

Secondary Education ESO is a new stage of education (compulsory and free) to all citizens (previously 7 & 8 of EGB and 1st and 2nd of BUP or FP). By both extending over 4 years after the Primary Education. Students from 12 to 16 years old.

Secondary Education The purpose of the design of this new stage of education is basically, to extend compulsory education until 16 years old, to equate the initial working age and the Spanish Education System with others EU countries

Secondary Education THE BACHELOR L.O.G.S.E. This is the last stage of secondary education, is voluntary and lasts for two courses, usually between 16 and 18 years. The Bachelor has four different modes designed to cater to both the diversity of further studies as to the different interests, skills and attitudes of the youth in this age group. The four modes are: Arts, Natural Science and Health, Humanities and Social Sciences, Technology.
