Mean, Median, Mode, and Range #45

VOCABULARY The mean is the sum of the data divided by the number of pieces of data. It is the balance point for the data set or average which summarizes the data using a single number. The mean, median, and mode are called measure of center because they describe the center of a set of data. The median of a list of values is the value appearing at the center of a sorted version of the list, or the mean of the two central values, if the list contains an even number of values. The mode is the number or numbers that occur most often. There may be more than one mode for a data set. If no value is repeated in the set, the data set has no mode. The range is the difference between the least and greatest values in the set.
