Youth Officer Duties and Responsibilities

All Leadership Responsibilities Communicates with the lodge chief, and his adviser weekly and bi-weekly with his committee chairs to ensure no surprises. Reviews progress of each of the lodge committees under his leadership to ensure that they are operating within their timelines and outlined in the lodge's Operations Guide. Ensures that each of his committees has a written report at each of the Lodge Executive Committee Meetings (LECM) Writes an article for each addition of the Arrow Point. Provides the lodge with a written evaluation of the successes and short falls of the office of Lodge Vice Chief prior to the end of his term of office.

All Leadership Responsibilities cont’d Sets an example by wearing a proper BSA uniform. Sets an example with OA handbook and other OA publications awareness - do it by the book.

Communication Positions VC’s: Communicates with the lodge chief, and his adviser weekly and bi-weekly with his committee chairs to ensure no surprises. Chairmen: Communicates with vice chief, adviser/VC’s adviser. Village Leadership: Communicates with lodge chief and adviser Regularity is important. Even if there is little to discuss, still stay in contact. What strategies do you use for communication?
