What A Meerkat Looks Like A Meerkat looks like a little type of dog but it is kind of skinny. It has tiny hairs on it and it’s really small and it lives underground. They have long tails’ and sharp teeth and claws ,and also a pig like nose.

Where A Meerkat Lives Meerkats live in Africa. Some Meerkats live in the savannas. And some Meerkats live on dry plains. Most Meerkats live in warm weather some live in deserts too. Meerkats live in a lot of places of the world. Those are places that Meerkats live.

Meerkat Adaptations Did you know that Meerkats cool off by staying in the shade. Meerkats stand on their hind legs so they can look for danger. They also have sharp claws to dig for food. Their homes are underground to stay away from threats. Meerkats also bark when there’s a hazard coming their way to alert the others. All Meerkats stay together so when a predator comes, they can have more power, (SAFTEY IN NUMBERS). And that’s how Meerkats adapt to their environment.

What Meerkats eat Meerkats eat a lot of different types of food. Did you know that Meerkats eat small reptiles, rodents and bugs. They also eat bird eggs. One of Meerkats favorite meals is scorpions. They also love to eat lizards and very little spiders. Did you know that Meerkats can open their mouths pretty wide to fit food. And that is some food that Meerkats eat.

Fun Facts About Meerkat There is many interesting facts about Meerkats. For example, Meerkats dig with there eyes closed. They also bark to let others know there is danger. Another name for Meerkat is a surikat.Timon from lion king is a Meerkat. Those were some facts about Meerkat.
