First Grade News September 11-15, 2017 Good To Know PTA Newsletter: What We Are Learning This Week   Reader’s Workshop: Building good reading habits Grammar: Nouns Writer’s Workshop: Writing small moments stories, capital letters and punctuation Math: Number sense, place value Social Studies: Leaders in our community and school Science: Parts of a plant Good To Know   *This week your child will be brining home their reading bag. Make sure to read the books and do the activities, if there are any, and return the bag the next day to school. Please make sure to LISTEN to your child read. *This Friday PTA will be having their “Sweet Shop” out in the front. All “sweets” cost $1. *If you have not signed up to be a part of the PTA, there is still time. Let your child’s teacher know if you need a form or sign up using the link in the PTA’s newsletter. *Homework will be coming home this Tuesday, due Wednesday and then again on Thursday, due Friday.
