The word volcano The name volcano comes from the Roman God of fire .His name is Vulcan the god of fire.

mount vesuvius In 79AD Mount Vesuvius had a major eruption. The Roman city's of Pompeii and Herculaneum were destroyed. It took six days for the lava and ash to reach Pompeii.

How can a volcano kill you? Volcanos can get you seriously injured. The pyroclastic flow can kill you because they can go really fast and they extremely hot. Another way is the ash because it can poison or suffocate you. The lava just covers the body when they are dead
