Forensic Laboratory of the Regional Police Headquarters in Radom Decision No 384 KGP of 6 October 2014 called "Central register of fingerprints" § 20. 1. In order to determine the identification value of disclosed and secured evidence and identification of the person who left various traces, one should fill in "Application for selection, verification and registration of unidentified latent fingerprints in a national AFIS", hereinafter referred to as "the AFIS application." The request indicates the scope of the outsourced activities. AFIS application form is attached as Annex 2 to the decision. 2. The application must be accompanied by AFIS fingerprint card in the form of fingerprints, finger tips, taken to limit the circle of suspects or determine the probative value of the evidence disclosed pursuant to art. 192a § 1 of Act of 6 June 1997 - Code of Criminal Procedure. 3. The AFIS application is directed to the appropriate regional Forensic Laboratory of the Regional Police HQ or exceptionally to the Central Forensic Laboratory of Police. §21. 1.Implementation of the AFIS application consists of the following successive steps: selection, verification and registration of unknown traces. 5. The check and the registration of unknown traces in AFIS is decided by an AFIS operator on the basis of the identification marks. 7. In the case of traces that can be derived from the missing persons, a letter is written in which the applicant indicates the range of checks. The letter must be accompanied by appropriate fingerprint card to eliminate for identification purposes.

Forensic Laboratory of the Regional Police Headquarters in Radom Mutual cooperation of the EU Member States in the area of fingerprint data exchange

Forensic Laboratory of the Regional Police Headquarters in Radom Decision No 384 KGP of 6 October 2014 called "Central register of fingerprints" §23 1. If there is a reasonable presumption that the offender may be registered in the database of another Member State of the European Union, hereinafter referred to as "EU MS," in order to identify the perpetrator of a criminal act you can have checked unknown traces in the collection of fingerprints of selected EU MS. 2. In order to search unknown traces in databases systems of AFIS EU MS, the AFIS application must be accompanied by "Application for one-time search of unidentified latent fingerprints in international databases," a model of which is attached as Annex 5 to the decision. In that application, the applicant defines the scope of the search in certain phases of cards and signs. 3. The request for a one-time search of unknown latent fingerprints in international databases, along with a copy of the AFIS result should be sent through the appropriate regional Forensic Laboratory of th eREgional Police HQ to the Department of Dactyloscopy of the Central Forensic Laboratory of Police after searching and registering unknown traces in the national AFIS. 6. In the case of a positive check of an unknown trace in EU MS bases as a result of a single search of unknown traces in international databases, the name of the country is given in which the positive check result took place and AFIS ID of the fingerprint card or identification marking of unknown traces. 7. Details of the person who is the concerned by the AFIS ID referred to in paragraph 6 shall be the contact point located in the Office of International Police Cooperation of the National Police Headquarters.

In order to determine or confirm the identity of an unknown person and to identify the perpetrator of a criminal act committed in the Member State of the EU other than the Republic of Poland, you may also check the fingerprint card of the person in the fingerprint collection of indicated EU MS. 2. Checking referred to in paragraph 1 is based on the "Application for a one-time search of fingerprint cards in the international databases," a model of which is attached as Annex 8 to the decision. In that application, the applicant defines the scope of the search in databases of cards and fingerprints, and indicates the EU MS, in which the search of the card took place. 3. Fingerprint card referred to in paragraph 1 may come from national AFIS and have AFIS ID or may be made by a police officer who confirms or establishes the identity of the person. 6. In the case of a positive check of an unknown trace in EU MS bases as a result of a single search of unknown traces in international databases, the name of the country is given in which the positive check result took place and AFIS ID of the fingerprint card or identification marking of unknown traces. 7. Details of the person or designation of unknown traces is done in the contact point referred to in § 23 paragraph 7.
