PRESENTATION ON., STUDY ON BEHAVIOUR OF FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE WITH GLASS FIBER USED AS ADMIXTURES

ABSTRACT : Glass fiber will be used as a admixtures as it had more strength & durability. It can be obtained through FRC while comparing with normal concrete. Fiber glass usually used in concrete to control cracking due to plastic shrinkage and dry shrinkage. The amount of Fiber used in concrete mix are (0%,2%,4%). Superior strength enhances the ability to endure seismic loads.

COMPLETED ACTIVITIES : Materials has been collected and stored in material testing lab.. Theory/history regarding FRC was collected. Various test’s has been done on fine aggreate , coarse aggregate , cement.. Slide for zeroth review has prepared. Analysing the concrete mix ratio in concrete technology by M S Shetty.

INGREDIENTS FOR FRC CONCRETE : TYPE OF CEMENT : OPC FINE AGGREGATE : RIVER SAND (TRICHY) COARSE AGGREGATE : 20 MM BROKEN FIBRE CONTENT : GLASS FIBRE WATER : 50% AIR : 6 to 9%

PROCESS : Casting of cubes . Curing. Various test of glass fibres : Cube - Compressive strength Beam - Flexural strength Cylinder - Split tensile Comparsion of normal concrete with the special concrete.
