Nethercott farm 2014

Animals These are the animals they have at Nethercott. sheep pigs cows Ponies and donkeys chickens Ducks and geese

Ponies You get to groom the ponies when you muck them out and lead them to their fields. Mucking out is where you clean out all the poo from the horses, donkeys or shetland ponies stables. We also get to make their beds and take them back to their stables.

Feeding We get to feed the cows and sheep barley and pellets.

Poultry and Pigs Poultry and pigs is when we get to feed the pigs. We get to open the ducks, hens and geese hutch to let them out for the day. We get to round them back up at the end of the day to put them to bed. We also collect the eggs.

Dairy We get to watch the cows being milked and forking silege in for the cows to eat. Fact:- Silege is pickled grass.

Stock check Stock check is when we get to check all the animals are alright and none of them are having a baby. If your lucky you may get to see a baby animal being born. We saw a one hour old calf.

Tractor Ride We get a tractor ride when we are going to some of our jobs.

Forest school Forest school is when you get to make lots of things you find in the forests. My favourite part of forest school was when we got to make a bow and arrow.

Cooking We got to do some cooking.

Disco On the final night we had a disco.
