Function of the Skeleton Protection Protects vital parts of your body such as lungs and spinal cord. Storage Store minerals and fat. Movement Skeletal muscles pull on bones to produce movement. Blood Cell Formation Filled with marrow to create blood cells.

Bones Structure Maintain homeostasis by storing minerals and making blood cells.
