PLUS Project Pan-London Umbrella Support (PLUS) Project - partnership between Homeless Link and Shelter (worked together since 2013) Between 2015 and 2017, 1314 people attended PLUS project events and training Also work in partnership with other agencies eg WRC, AVA, Stonewall Housing Currently work with over 360 London-based organisations working with homeless/vulnerably housed people, equalities groups and specialist organisations, including mental health, substance misuse and women’s All services are open to borough officers, service staff and landlords The services are fully funded by London Councils, so there is no charge to attend. www.homeless.org.uk Let’s end homelessness together

PLUS Project What services do we offer (yearly) 4 policy forums and 4 good practice events In-house and public training – e.g. homelessness law, homelessness prevention and reduction 1 landlord event Relationship brokering events A monthly newsletter Why? To improve knowledge around recent policy and legislation changes e.g. welfare reform and the Homelessness Reduction Act To improve knowledge around new service delivery To enable the ability to adapt service delivery and increased links to LA, SV/DV and employment providers

PLUS Project What services do we offer cont.. Policy, legal and statistical briefings Attend borough homelessness forums Provide intensive support to 3 outer-London boroughs that have seen increased numbers of rough sleepers Havering, Harrow and Kingston. “Special Initiative” – gendered specific approaches for homeless women Why?.. To improve working relationships between services and across sectors, including women’s, sexual and domestic violence, health, substance use, mental health, the VCS and statutory services. To improve organisational sustainability
