Writing a Newspaper Report

You will be writing the newspaper report about the events of Black Saturday. What features will you need to include when producing a newspaper front page? Date Headline Picture Caption Sub-headings Main story / second story in columns

The Headline A headline is the first thing an audience see so must grab their attention. Change the following headline to be more punchy and attention grabbing: Bush Fires in Victoria. (N.B. Try to make use of alliteration or pun)

Purpose To retell events with the purpose of informing / entertaining the audience.
