How to do your Powerpoint Project Uma Pochampalli

E.g.: How Sociologists are looked at Overview Sociologists objectives Rules Sociological activities Summarize Next steps

Overview Being A Sociologist is about Data Collection Application of Theory Analysis Findings

What are we discussing anyway? What are you studying? Is it a new idea for a project? What are the features? What do you call it?? Are you saying something different than others? What do you understand? Define how you are approaching and any concepts to understand

Rules Any idea is good so long as it is relevant Be creative Experiment how you want to present Do not criticize your friends, keep the rules in writing, and practice It is not so much as the subject alone, as it is also how you learn to work together as a team

Brainstorming Activity Generate ideas Use games and exercises to “warm up” your creative thinking When ideas slow down, try another exercise to generate fresh ideas Breaking into smaller groups may be helpful Use a computer to capture every comment/idea in each meeting

Summary Review each others ideas Organize the ideas and consolidate Check project requirements and restrictions Short list top 5-10 ideas Each one present one or two ideas

Presentation Describe how you are presenting: What are the research ideas generated? Share with the class Suggest the class what ideas could be generated: Make a mark in your presentation
