Data by Country and Indicator 50+ indicators Population Environment Economy States and Markets Global Links Across all available countries Time series since 1960 Views Country view Indicator view Click country or indicator link to switch views Based on requests from librarians we’ve added data from the World Development Indicators. The top 50+ indicators are available for countries and regions so students (particularly undergraduates) can easily access both data and publications within the same platform.

Switch between Country and Indicator Views There are two ways to view data: by Indicator or by Country. You can easily switch between them.

Functionality and Additional Information “Select Years” to customize view “Download as CSV” to manipulate data “Create Citation” for automatically created citation Dynamic URLs to save views Hyperlinked labels to switch views Additional information Notes Sources Indicator definitions In addition, you can select years to view (including all), and download the results to CSV. Indicators contain descriptions and source information. The “Create Citation” button provides basic information for citing the data (in a generic format).

Version History and Other Information “About Data” tab: Intro to World Development Indicators Overview of functionality Data updated monthly Update/version history Links to release notes and errata A separate “About Data” tab provides more background information, notes, errata, and version history.

New Collections New collections are being added, such as World Bank Presidential speeches, regional and economic outlooks, and systematic country diagnostics.

Case Studies Professors often ask for case studies. They can be found by searching using Advanced Search and entering “Case Study” and selecting “Title” in the drop drop. You can specify other filters if you wish. (For example, CO2 and China as shown here).

French and Spanish Translations Spanish and French translations are being added for users who prefer to read content in their native languages.
