Using Technology to Teach Math in the Elementary Classroom Katie phelps

Using technology to teach toward learning styles “If a child does not learn the way I teach, I must teach the way he/she learns.” Adding resources and methods to the lesson Able to teach the lesson in multiple ways

Technology develops higher level thinking skills Integrating technology within the math curriculum Use new technology skills to challenge students Proven to have positive outcomes in student achievement

Interactive technology activities Start off each day with an interactive activity Students are excited to see what they will do Enjoy working with peers to learn methods Hands on, attention grabbing tools

Number 100 Chart Can solve number pattern activities Even and odd numbers Multiples of 5 and 10 Skip counting by 2, 3, 4, and 5 Increase and decrease of numbers
