Current Epidemiological Situation Two months earlier, multiple outbreaks had been reported to the Central Emergency Unit confirming FMD as the suspected disease. Special Epidemiological teams Had been nominated to investigate the outbreaks. Central Veterinary Lab detected FMD virus serotype (A). Small ruminants Vaccine in use does not contain serotype A (O-Manisa, O-3039 or O-Panasia2, SAT-2 Eretria) amendment had been done using the cattle vaccine (O-Manisa, O-3039, SAT-2 Eriteria, Asia-1 Shamir, A Iran-05 and A Saudi Arabia-95) in concentration of ≥ 6PD50 which controlled the outbreaks.
