Clean Harbors Online Services – CS1045 People and Technology Creating a Better Environment

Expectations All assigned customers (A&C Ranked) should be set up with an on-line account In July 08 (tentative date) customers who do not submit profiles on line will be charged Sales and Service personnel will discuss and promote Clean Harbors On-Line Services with all customers Sales and Service Personnel are responsible for managing Clean Harbors On-Line Services account contact set up through Beacon Sales and Service Personnel will troubleshoot any issues communicated to them prior to involving MIS Promote self service help using the online help documentation available to the customer through the Customer Resource Center or for employees via the Learning Institute Library If self service process is unsuccessful then trouble shoot with the customer to determine if it is a user, data or system issue. 2

Training Objectives Determine if a customer has an on-line account Understand how to set up a new on-line account Understand how to view the exact information the customer sees Understand and promote the key benefits of Clean Harbors Online Services to all customers Understand the new Customer Inventory options (Not yet fully available) 3

Benefits of Clean Harbors On-Line Services 24x7x365 Customer Access to online information General information resources include Regulatory News links and Clean Harbors product and services information available Improved accuracy of account setup, profile, and tracking data resulting from direct customer interaction with the system Broker Generator on the fly allows streamlined process for brokers to initiate new business with CHES No software to purchase or download Time savings for the customer and Clean Harbors 4

Benefits of Clean Harbors On-Line Services Online profile E-signature simplifies the process for customer profile submittal saving the customer time Improved data quality System logic prevents incomplete profiles from being submitted Efficient profile approval process resulting from direct contact between Central Profile Approval Personnel and the Customer Profile copy feature allows customers to efficiently create new profiles for similar wastes System is identical to that in Win Web/Beacon for internal users 5

Benefits of Clean Harbors On-Line Services Online Reporting Biennial Reporting made easy Waste tracking available in multiple formats; PDF, HTML, CSV, XML (Note: temporarily unavailable, to be re-released by 1/1/08) Post-audit invoice images available Manifest images and bulk shipment weight tickets available Profile Summary Reports available and can be downloaded to Excel and now include the list of approved facilities for each profile Profile Reports have been reformatted and can now be emailed New language has been added to the profile report for profiles submitted using e-signature; “this waste profile has been submitted using Clean Harbors electronic signature system” The submitters e-mail address prints now as well 6

Validating Customer Online Access Retrieve the appropriate account in Beacon Click on the CONTACTS tab In the far right column on the individual line, you will see the “E-COMM” status. If checked, the account is set up with an on-line account. If not checked, they do not have an on-line account access for this winid. In t 7

Setting up an Online Account If your customer is not currently set up, there are two options for setting up their on-line account Customers: Through the Customer Resource Center Use the “I want to set up an account for Clean Harbors Online Services” Employees: Through Beacon using the Contacts Tab Edit the individual and click the “E-COMM” box The customer will receive an email with their user name and password CONFIRM THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS! If contact does not exist on that Beacon ID, you need to create a contact first 8

On-Line Account Rules Online Account Rules Individuals can have access to either one generator location or all generators linked to a CUST/GEN For Brokers, Online Account setup is only allowed at BROK/CUST/GEN level To obtain an Online Account the individual must be set up as a contact against the appropriate Win ID If a contact is to have access to several WIN ID’s then the customer must be set up as a contact with the E-COMM box checked at each WIN ID To disable or remove a persons access, simply un-check the e-comm indicator – this will disable online access for the associated winid 9

Log In and Security Fast Easy Log In Security Customer Button on the Clean Harbors Home Page Customer Log In hyperlink in the Customer Resource Center as well Security Password protected log in Customers can change their password at any time further enhancing the security of the information 10

Seeing What your Customer Sees Once your customer is set up with an on-line account, you can view their account as well Based on Account Manager feedback, this was the most requested improvement Assists with troubleshooting Allows you to help your customer get accustomed to the new on-line services Assists in training Click “VIEW” next to the E-Comm box 11

View/Select Generators Customer sees all codes they have access to Allows them to search for codes as well 12

Profile Tab Customer can create, edit, view or copy their profiles 13 New Profile 13

FEATURES: On-Line Profile Copy Copy Profile Fast easy way to create new profiles based on similar profiles already in the system A duplicate record is created using the original profile as a template A new profile number will be used Input the appropriate Generator WIN ID to copy the profile to The copied profile must still be reviewed and submitted for approval 14

FEATURES: On-Line Profile System Validation Ensures complete profiles are submitted Upon submitting, system logic validates that all required information is entered Hyperlinks to the correct profile area are supplied for convenience Profile must be resubmitted after the appropriate information has been entered 15

FEATURES: On-Line Profile E-Signature Fast easy way for the customer to submit profiles directly to CPG for review and approval Two methods of submittal Electronic Submittal: No signed hardcopy required. The customer must simply validate the certification popup.  Signed Hard Copy Submittal: Customer must print, sign and fax or email a hard copy of the signed profile to CPG Note: As of 7/1/08 (tentative date) if a profile is faxed, emailed or mailed, a charge will incur 16

FEATURES: On-Line Profile E-Signature When electronic signature is chosen, the user then clicks “OK” and the review and approval process will begin 17

Report Tab Self-service reports for the customer Various reports are available in multiple formats 18

Customer Inventory Tab Gives generators a mechanism to manage their inventory Generators can view, add or delete inventory on-line Entry of inventory does not require a sales order Currently in production, but no access has been granted to any customers. Target audience will be Brokers and Self Pack customers for first round 19

Customer Inventory Tab Employees can view the Customer Inventory Tab in Beacon. This is shown for all customers, even if the customer has not been given access to the Waste Inventory Tab. NOTE: Clean Harbors Chemists or Apollo Managers can also create customer inventory, which would also be viewable, even when the customer does not have access Can be accessed via On-Line Services View in Beacon as well. 21

Summary All Sales and Service Personnel need to access Clean Harbors On-Line Services to become familiar with the information available to the customer Determining Customer Online Account setup and creating new Customer Online Accounts is quick and easy through Beacon After 7/1/08 (tentative date) profiles not submitted on-line will incur a charge to the customer Clean Harbors On-Line Services enhancements have been done based on feedback from our employees and customers Clean Harbors On-Line Services provides benefits to both the customer and Clean Harbors 22
