Help: Displays the current login user name. Menu bar Help: Displays the current login user name. Main view: Allows you to view tasks as well as monitor devices, systems, and resources. 2 Information bar: Displays system messages and alarms reported by NEs. 1 1. Logging In to the SMC2.0 Note: The default login user name and password are admin and Change_Me respectively. Change the default password and remember the new password at the first login.

2. Holding a Favorite Conference You can predefine conference templates and store them on the SMC2.0. Then, you can quickly initiate a conference by invoking a predefined template. This kind of conferences is called favorite conferences. Operation entry: Conferences > Conference Template > Add Conference Template 2. Holding a Favorite Conference 1 Enter basic information about the conference. 2 Select the conference type. 3 To use data collaboration functions such as desktop and document sharing during the conference, select Data conference. 4 On the Participants and Corporate Directory tab pages, add participants that need to join the conference. 5 To hold a favorite conference, choose Conferences > Conference Template, select a predefined template, and click Schedule Conference. 2 1

3. Holding a Temporary Conference After you initiate a temporary conference from the SMC2.0, participants can immediately join the conference without specifying a conference access number. Operation entry: Conferences > New Conference 1 Enter basic information about the conference. On the Participants and Corporate Directory tab pages, add participants that need to join the conference. 2 Select the conference type. To use data collaboration functions such as desktop and document sharing during the conference, select Data conference. 3 4 5

4. Extending a Conference Operation entry: Conferences > Scheduled Conference Select a predefined extended duration, for example, 30 minutes. Alternatively, click Others and customize an extended duration. An annual summary conference is well under way. However, the conference is scheduled to end at 16:00. There are only 10 minutes left. In this case, you can extend the conference.

5. Adding a Participant Participants A and B in an enterprise have joined a conference. Now, participant C needs to join the conference to discuss with participants A and B. In this case, you can add participant C on the Participants tab page. Click the icon for adding a participant. 1 2 Select the participant to add. 3

6. Viewing Participants in Turn in Continuous Presence Mode You can click Move Up or Move Down to adjust the participant display sequence. 1 2 Select a continuous presence mode, for example, 2 panes. More participants require more video panes. 3 Select a video pane, for example, pane 1, and set the display interval to 10s for example. Then, videos of participants A and B will be displayed in pane 1 in turn at an interval of 10s. Select and drag participants to a video pane. There are participants A, B, and C in a conference. Participant A needs to view participants B and C in turn. 4

7. Broadcasting Participants in Turn for the Chair Participant In a conference, the chair participant needs to view other participants in turn while the other participants need to view only the chair participant. Set participant A as the chair participant. If the chair participant icon is displayed in the Status column, participant A is successfully set as the chair participant. 2 Click the icon for setting a participant as the chair participant. 1 3 Select participant A. Set chair participant A to view participants B and C in turn. Select a continuous presence mode. Set participants B and C to view chair participant A at the same time. Select and drag participants B and C to the video pane. Click the broadcast icon. Then, participants B and C can view chair participant A. 2 1 Select chair participant A. 1

8. Giving the Floor to Participants (1) An enterprise is headquartered in Beijing. A conference is held every Monday morning to give the floor to the subordinate branches (participants). Method 1: In the case of a few participants, the chair participant can give the floor to a participant in the following way: Click the icon for setting the selected participant as the chair participant. 2 3 1 Select participant A to be configured as the chair participant. If the chair participant icon is displayed in the Status column, participant A is successfully set as the chair participant. Example: Chair participant A wants to give the floor to participant B. 5 Click the give-floor icon. 4 6 Select participant B to which the floor is given. If other participants can view participant B that is given the floor, the give-floor operation succeeds. Only the microphones of chair participant A and participant B are unmuted.

8. Giving the Floor to Participants (2) Method 2: In the case of many participants, the chair participant can give the floor to a participant in the following way: (Compared with method 1, method 2 saves a big workload, because you do not need to click the give-floor icon each time.) 1 Select chair participant A. 2 4 3 Select the check box before a participant to directly give the floor to the participant. Then, other participants can view the participant that is given the floor. After the give-floor operation is complete, click Stop Continuous Giving Floor.

9. Broadcasting Participants (1) During a conference, to push the video of a participant to other participants, you can broadcast the participant. Method 1: In the case of a few participants, you can broadcast a participant in the following way: Click the broadcast icon. 2 1 Select participant B to be broadcast. 3 If participants A and C can view participant B, participant B is successfully broadcast.

9. Broadcasting Participants (2) Method 2: In the case of many participants, you can broadcast a participant in the following way: (Compared with method 1, method 2 saves a big workload, because you do not need to click the broadcast icon each time.) 1 If you click Broadcast Conference Continuous Presence, the system will automatically combine video images of multiple participants and broadcast the customized continuous presence to each participant. 3 After the broadcast is complete, click Stop Continuous Broadcast. 2 Select the check box before a participant to broadcast. Then, other participants can view the broadcast participant.

10. Setting Scheduled Broadcast If the sequence of participants to broadcast is fixed, you can set scheduled broadcast. 1 Set Interval to 10s for example. Then, the system will broadcast the selected participants in turn at an interval of 10s. 3 You can click Move Up or Move Down to adjust the participant broadcast sequence. 2 Select and drag required participants to the list of participants to broadcast. 4

11. Broadcasting Continuous Presence During a conference, you can broadcast continuous presence to all participants in the following way: Click the icon for setting continuous presence. 1 2 Select and drag participants to the continuous presence panes. 3

12. Viewing Participants (1) Method 1: In the case of a few participants, you can view participants in the following way: 2 1 Specify the participant to view. If you select Continuous presence, the system will automatically combine video images of multiple participants for you to view. 3 4

Viewing Participants (2) Method 1: In the case of many participants, you can view participants in the following way: (Compared with method 1, method 2 saves a big workload, because you do not need to choose the View Participant menu each time.) 1 2 If you click View Conference Continuous Presence, the system will automatically combine video images of multiple participants for you to view. After participants are viewed, click Stop Continuous Viewing. You can customize continuous presence. 4 Select the check box before the participant to view. Then, you can view the participant. 3

13. Locking a Video Source If the video image that a participant views need to be fixed, you can lock the video source of the participant. 2 Once the video source of participant B is locked, even if you broadcast participant A, participant B still views the locked video image. 1

14. Muting and Unmuting a Microphone Click this icon to mute or unmute the microphone of the participant. 2 1 Select the participant whose microphone needs to be muted or unmuted.
