God’s Words bring FRUITFULNESS and BLESSING Sermon by Pastor Andy

Psalm 1:1-6 1. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2. but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

3. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither whatever they do prospers. 4. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Who wants to be blessed by GOD?

Faith is the foundation of Christian character and the security of the soul. Faith in Christ is the basis of all working, all sanctification, and all hope. God is the great object of faith. Faith gives birth to PRAYER, to TRUST, to GODLY DESIRE, and finally to BLESSING from God.

II. There are Challenges for those who seek to walk in Godly Paths BLESSED is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.

WALK IN step with the wicked: ACCEPTING their advice. STAND IN the way that sinners take: BEING a party to its ways. SIT IN the company of mockers: ADOPTING its attitudes.

There is delight for those of you who seek to walk in godly paths III. But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. There is delight for those of you who seek to walk in godly paths

To some it is BORING, but to you it is EXCITING. To some it is DULL, but to you it is DELIGHTFUL. To some it is FANTASY, but to you it is FACT. To some it is INFORMATION, but to you it is INSPIRATION.

IV. Fruitful Destiny for you who seek to walk in Godly Paths. “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither whatever they do prospers.”

“I will bless you … and you will be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2 NIV) Our blessings should FLOW to others. When we bless others, God TAKES CARE of our needs. Our blessings to others will COME BACK on us. The more WE’RE BLESSED by God, the more he EXPECTS us to help others.
