The Happy Life Psalm 1

Where is your happiness?
Does it come from outside of you? Is it found within?

Where is your happiness?
To obtain happiness, we must take delight in God and take hold of the godly life he offers.

Psalm 1:1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Psalm 1:3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.

Jeremiah 17:6 He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

Jeremiah 17:8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:9–10 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.”

Psalm 1:4–5 The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

Psalm 1:6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.

Matthew 5:3 How happy are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:4 How happy are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Matthew 5:5 How happy are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Matthew 5:6 How happy are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Matthew 5:7 How happy are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Matthew 5:8 How happy are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Matthew 5:9 How happy are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Matthew 5:10 How happy are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

Where is your happiness?
