What is an Electronic Book or “eBook”? A digital form of a book. Can hold up to 4GB of information or 35,000 books Looks like a cell phone or very small laptop Internet Connection Ability to hold word documents Devices cost about $350.00

How do “eBooks” work? eBooks allow you to electronically download purchased books or novels to be read on the digital screen Ability to store and organize a complete library of books.

What are the common features of an eBook? Touch screen and zoom capable Full Key Board Can show documents and images Holds music High Contrast so there is no glare Novels are shown page by page on the screen Note-pad feature

What are the benefits of eBooks? Reduction in use of paper, helping the environment Saving Space taken up by paper back books Ability to store all of the information a laptop stores, but can be carried in our pocket Programs from children to learn to read, less of an expense for college students, and books adults can read easily.
