Bienvenue dans ma classe Madame Bancroft Salle 117

Vocab/Phrase du jour: Bonjour, madame! Nom, prénom, surnom Questions du jour: Comment tu tappelles? Quel âge as-tu? Ou es-tu né(e)?

Pourquoi étudier le français? What is your personal goal in studying French? Why? How can we, as a class, achieve these goals?

How de we CONNECT to a new language? What makes us WANT to learn it? What is scary about using it? HOW can we overcome our fears?

There are three important aspects to learning a language: First, MEMORIZATION of vocabulary and verb conjugation. This requires repeated listening, speaking, review, reading. For example: le livre, le stylo, je suis, tu es

Then, CRITICAL THINKING to understand HOW the language WORKS Patterns, logic, nuance, rythm, sound Est-ce que tu danses? Tu danses? Danses-tu? Tu veux danser? Tu vas danser? Où est-ce que tu vas danser? Toi, tu danses bien! Alors on danse!

Finally, ACCEPT that we learn language through trial and error: I eated all my breffast! I no like dat! He hitted me! Me got a bobo on my bid toe! We didnt start by speaking perfect English so why do you expect to speak perfect French? We all have different accents in English, and accents also vary in French! Go forth bravely and make mistakes!!
