What is Culture? How a group of people live who share similar beliefs and customs.

P: Political Influences Government structure (Monarchy: ruled by Kings and Queens, Dictatorship: ruled by Dictator/military, Democracy: ruled by a president (voted in by the people). Courts/Laws. War.

E: Economic Influences Ways of making a living/income. State control of trade/industry (Command economy). Agriculture/Industry important. Levels of technology. Levels of international trade.

R: Religious Influences Helps to answer basic questions about life and death. Holy Books, Beliefs, Teachings. Plays a role in how societies interact.

S: Social Influences Family order—patriarchal (Father leads families), matriarchal (Mother leads families). Gender Roles (women, children, elderly). Social classes (aristocracy, slaves). Entertainment. Life Styles.
