The Great Gatsby Marek Cochlar, II.A

Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was born in Minnesota in 1896 american author, scenarist fought in World War I. married with Zelda Sayre had very expensive life (alcohol, illness of his wife) died in 1940 in Hollywood

Plot of The Great Gatsby The plot starts when Nick Carraway moves to New York to Long Island. He lives near the big house of Jay Gatsby. Gastby is very rich man and does big parties in his house, but nobody knows something about him (where is he and his money from...). Nick meets with Tom and Daisy Buchanans, Gatsby and Jordan Baker. Later he knows that Daisy is Gatsby‘s old love. In one party has a conflict Tom with Gatsby because Tom knows that Daisy and Gatsby fall in love themselves. After party Gatsby‘s car hits Myrtle Wilson, who is wife of George Wilson and lover of Tom. Because George is very angry, when is his wife dead, he shoots down Gatsby and himselves.

Liked/didn‘t like It was quite interesting book for me, because I wanted to know why is Gatsby rich. I didn‘t like on this book that there were a lot of characters and relationship between them.
