SATELLITE IMAGE Valid at 031300 Z Commentary Remnants of last night’s deep convective activity now well out to the W/SW of Sierra Leone, over the ocean, and continuing to move W. Areas of medium and high cloud continue to stream E from these cells though, over Sierra Leone. Relatively shallow convection has developed over S parts of Sierra Leone, Liberia, parts of N and SE Guinea and Ivory Coast. Deeper convection, producing heavy showers and thunderstorms, will develop later today over Guinea and move W into Sierra Leone. Note: Any crosses indicate recent thunderstorm activity – red being from the last 10 minutes.
