2017/2018 Emergency Solutions Grant Overview

Changes in 2017/2018 from 2016 The award period for the funds awarded under this NOFA is for two years, and intended to run from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2019. Minimum amount raised from $150,000 to $200,000. Applicants should set performance measures and budgets for a twenty-four-month cycle. Required to submit forms in Excel Contract history provided by TDHCA 110% Match incentivized Show 8% of amount of ESG funds in unencumbered cash or cash equivalent

Overview $605,561 available per year Single Applicants are limited to requesting no more than 60% of their budget for Street Outreach and Emergency Shelter activities Street Outreach and Emergency Shelter Applications for our community cannot exceed $363,336. Up to three (3) applications allowed for our CoC Minimum Request - $200,000 (per year) Maximum Request - $250,000 (per year) Up to 3% allowed in Administrative fees

TDHCA ESG Tentative Deadlines DATE ACTIVITY April 17, 2017 List of Applicants and Previous Participation forms due to TDHCA May 17, 2017 TDHCA notifies TCHC about Previous Participation results May 19 – May 29, 2017 Appeals from Applicants to TCHC May 30, 2017 Award recommendations due to TDHCA along with application materials June 1 – June 29, 2017 Appeals from Applicants to TDHCA Director and/or Board July 27, 2017 ESG Awards to TDHCA Board September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2018 2017 ESG contract start and end date

Timeline Notes TCHC can notify awardees before or after the Previous Participation process If before, TCHC must state that the amount is an award recommendation, and pending approval of the Previous Participation process Important: The TDHCA ESG NOFA states a deadline of March 31st – this is not applicable to TX-601 since TCHC is serving as an ESG Coordinator. TCHC will release the Intent to Apply form in February; the RFP will follow.
