Mission 1 Aqua Peeps

Locations of Water Water on earth can be found in the ocean, atmosphere, water vapor, lakes, soil, marshes, wetlands, animals, oceans, rivers, and plants

Water for People’s Use Less than 1 percent of all water is available to humans.  2.5 percent of all the water on Earth is fresh water and 70 percent of all the fresh water is frozen in the polar ice caps.

Water can be stored as a solid-ice, liquid-water, and gas-water vapor. States of Water Water can be stored as a solid-ice, liquid-water, and gas-water vapor.

Water moves from one place to another on Earth by gravity. How Water Moves Water moves from one place to another on Earth by gravity.

Distribution of Water 3 percent of the water  on Earth is fresh.  97 percent of the water resides in the ocean.  Of the fresh water on Earth, 69 percent is in glaciers, 30 percent underground,  1 percent is located in lakes, rivers and swamps.  Looked at another way, only 1 percent  is usable by humans.
