Year 9 Graphic Design This is a course comprising conventional and creative design studies. Students experiment with a range of media used in rendering, lead and colored pencil, water color, ink and markers. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator are also introduced and use to complete selected projects. Students are introduced to some graphic communication systems used in two and three dimensional drawings of buildings and objects. The elements and principles of design underpin the design process. Students explore the theme “making and marketing” producing and designing for a variety of briefs such as: CD cover, a stamp series, package labels, corporate logos, and an advertisement for a specific purpose.
Why Study this? Work Tasks Assessment tasks Making and designing a snow board; skate or surf board. 2 point perspective and isometrics ; designing Type and Building designs Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design a logo and/ or a piece of advertising such as poster and cd cover.
