Capital Improvement & School Construction Bond Special Election April 26, 2016

Maintains current tax rate and funds projects at every school

Bond Projects By the Numbers (estimated costs)

How is the amount of the bond determined? The Citizens’ Bond Review Committee reviewed 262 projects submitted by schools and the KSD Maintenance Department. The committee then recommended 76 projects as top priorities. The Board reviewed and approved the projects along with the amount of the bond.

Why is a bond measure on the ballot? Significant changes in state-mandated student class size requirements necessitate additional classroom space. State and federal funding does not cover costs associated with renovation or replacement of school facilities.

Projects at Meeker Middle School New classroom presentation systems New door lock hardware New HVAC controls New roof Outdoor athletic facilities renovations Waste management system improvements For more information visit KSDBond.org or call 253-373-7524.
