Professional Development Assessment Tool Assessment Tool was created using ACPA/NASPA Professional Competencies and CAS Standards A unique Self Assessment form was created for: Staff Employees Supervisors Colleagues The goal is to get “360°” feedback for each employee. Intended to be self-directed; not a mandatory experience
Using Assessment Tool Feedback Staff member should review results from the Self-Assessment, Supervisor Assessment, and Peer Assessments themselves and with their Supervisor and use the results to create a Professional Development Plan. The Cal State San Marcos Professional Development Plan Form can be used for this purpose.
Professional Development Program for Student Affairs Staff Employees A professional development program has been developed for Student Affairs staff employees, to improve their overall student affairs based competencies, skills, and abilities, with particular emphasis on career advancement. This program is designed to be offered in monthly workshops. Staff should also use campus Human Resource sponsored workshops, trainings offered by other departments, and seminars offered by off-campus organizations
